I am still moving the old energy from my body. A couple of days ago, I decided to go swimming at the health club. I had not been in a long while. The bed kept me feeling a false sense of delight all winter as my bones continued to ache, my body feeling heavy and lifeless. My dreams...crazy and chaotic. On the day of my swim, I entered the club and could immediately identify that familiar "gym" smell. As I walked to the women's locker room I could smell the "chlorine" and strangely...I couldn't wait to get in the water. The chlorine reminded me of how often I use to go swimming to just feel the flow of the water and the 40 minutes of being nothing but... peaceful and free. When I entered the water and began my deliberate, slow, meditative lapping...it was well...all I needed in that moment. I thought about a quote that Bruce Lee said:
Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. Put it in a teapot. Water can flow or creep or drip or crash..Be water my friend.
