WELCOME to "A Thousand Tiny Pillows " project blog...ish.
I decided to do something really huge...really huge for this 2020 year. Something big that would help me focus more, help me challenge myself more creatively and more importantly, to give back, spread more joy, more peace, more goodness, more beauty, more compassion, more support. I am challenging myself to sew/decorate a thousand tiny pillows this year and give them away. The pillows are 3.5 x 3.5 (they fit in the palm of your hand)...and they are glorious. So far! Although this is the beginning of February, I started the project in January. My mom turned 86 on January 19. It seems so unbelievable to me at times. However, at other times it becomes more and more apparent. The change in her gait, the beautiful ever-so-small bald spot that sits in the top of her head that peeps out on a windy day when her hair is freshly done, her forever frown that resides between her brows...and more. Nevertheless, it's her support and comfort that remains. The rich substance that has helped me on each of my waking days. Her support is like a pillow. A soft, gentle, lovely, cushy, reminder that I will always be supported. Whoever you are, wherever you are, you too will always be supported. I support you and your dreams. Ahhhh the PILLOW. A source of support and comfort among many other things. We cry into our pillows, we cuddle them, we squeeze them, we use them to elevate parts, we use them to rest, relax and sometimes to thrust raw anger into them. Many, many uses. You can follow me on Instagram.com/coolpeaces50 to see the pillows (which I will be posting at least 2-3 times a week or more) and come back to the blog periodically to keep learning about my process and thoughts on the matter. If you happen to be the recipient of one of these little treasures, feel free to share a pic! There will be no two alike...because we are all different and totally unique!

The tiny pillows you have shown are lovely. I love the first picture. The pattern and the color are unique. Many like to use small pillows for the sofa and the outdoor tea area. Great work.
